In my country, where mythical creatures of tikbalang, aswang, kapre and manananggal were said to lurk around the neighborhood trees and bushes, silver is your best bet to save your entrails from getting devoured. Other than a necklace of stinky garlic, silver is the ultimate protection. Will this Chanel silver quilted watch and an old silver rusty spike necklace do the trick?
Well, we’ll see as I walk out the doors of my apartment and to the city that wander different kinds of creatures sometimes much scarier than aswangs and tikbalangs, the city called New York.
Today, I decided to do my errands in this outfit. Okay, fine, minus the heels (’cause really, who can walk blocks, and run away from the beasts of New York in 4-5 inches of heels). The weather is becoming bearable and it seemed fit to take out my pleated baby pink skirt with my sheer and velvet long sleeves top, accessorized with my wrist candy Chanel watch, silver spiked necklace and a white marble ring. Feels like LA? Not yet, I suppose. I quickly went back to the apartment to change to some good old reliable leggings after a few stops in my errand list. Bad idea! My legs were cold as a popsicle in that skirt.
You’ll be wild and free soon too, baby pink pleated skirt. Soon.
Continuing my mini adventure to check off some ‘to-do’s, I went out again properly clothed. By the way, it was really a freakin’ adventure for me today. I cut my finger so bad when I tried to ballistically open a can of chicken sausage this morning. I was just so hungry. If you look at the third photo for a long time, you can assume my right hand middle finger is bloated. Its not. Its my bandaid.
And that was my Wednesday, no sketchy encounters or mean menaces. Maybe its because of my silver blings today? Well one thing is certain, these silver blings are also good for those chic fixes. When I wear silver with soft pastels, it pops out so drooling-ly. They complement well together. It shoves off bad creatures and looks good with almost anything! More silver, please.
